More on Ms. K's Zebra and polka dot cake

I thought I should share a few pictures of the inspiration for the cake.  Ms. K wore a zebra striped/hot pink/white polka dotted outfit made by (will fill in as soon as I know, lol).
Professional portrait by Photos by Liz.  Find her on Facebook or at her website.
The cake topper was based on her invitation (seen below in a cell phone pic) and coordinated perfectly.  Both of those were designed by Simply Said by Courtney.  Her blog and facebook page have more information.

The entire party was put together by Marcia, of Your Perfect Day Wedding Planning (who happens to also be Ms. K's mother).  Find her on facebook as well.

The "K" was found at Hobby Lobby the day before the party in a chance encounter!  I didn't know they had alphabet initials for cakes at that store!  It was $3.99...I really want to get some of every letter (in case they quit carrying them) but that seems a bit obsessive, lol.

Happy Birthday Princess Snowflake {Omaha birthday cakes}

Birthday party decor and cake for an adorable princess born during a major snowstorm.  Banner is embossed with snowflakes, something you can't see in the picture but that was so perfect in real life.

Leo and Ethan's Monster Bash {Omaha Birthday Cakes}

Little Monsters Leo and Ethan had a monster bash combined birthday party Saturday.  Rebecca took care of the banner (I just cut the stuff out) and I did the shirts and cake.
Our two little monsters had a smashing good time and man alive, I loved this cake...it was an orange creamsicle cake...layers of orange cake and white with cream cheese frosting.  YUM!

Bling {Omaha Birthday Cakes}

 Ask and ye shall receive.  Tara wanted "A lot of bling and a pink soccer ball" on her cake...I hope she liked what I was able to create (wish I'd ordered some edible jewels from somewhere).
 The entire cake was dusted with a shimmery glitter so the cake would shimmer and shine in the light.

The "8" was a double layer gum paste cut out, with fake diamonds glued all around (The 8 is NOT edible).

I love the last picture I posted, and how the shiny board I put the cake on reflects the border.

The flavor was a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting.

I really hope Tara had a very happy 8th Birthday!

Custom Order Tees for Birthdays {Omaha Appliqued Tees}

Sorry this picture is a bit blurry :(  I didn't notice until I delivered the tee.

It's been a boy crazed week at my house!  Mr. Leo, Mr. Cubby, Mr. 4 (idk his name, lol) and Mr. Logan all have birthday coming up so of course they needed shirts to help them celebrate!

If you'd like to order an appliqued tee, email me today! (confetticreationsbyjessica at yahoo dot com)

Sesame Street tee in my etsy shop.  The 123/ABC print with the #4 will be in my shop soon!

Oh, and check out how cute E is in his cupcake shirt.   I just had to make one for him when I saw it on a blog!

Kayleigh's turning Five {Omaha Princess Birthday Cake}

My first cake from someone I met at the craft fair!  Kayleigh was so excited when I dropped her cake off, too.  It was so cute to see! The inside is just white cake with buttercream frosting...a classic that is always so good!

It was a long week, but it was fun! {Omaha Birthday Cakes, Omaha Wedding Cakes, Lincoln Brithday Cakes}

This past week I had THREE cake orders (and my husband's birthday party) and I was a major contributor to a wedding cake (LONG story).
Though I did not see the cake 100% finished, the bride had picked a lovely image for me to cut out of gum paste and I bet Jean did a fabulous job finishing it (I can't wait for the bride to get back from her honey moon and post pictures!).  I did about 55-70% of the total work and loved the bottom layer (the only one I got to see finished in person).
Here are the four birthday cakes I did this past week:
My first time using shimmer dust (or whatever it is called.)  I forgot to cut it with corn starch, so it was a bit strongly colored, but Isabella LOVED it anyway.  This was my first stand up tiara and I thought it was so cute.

This was my first delivery to somewhere more then a few miles away.  I was so nervous, but it worked out great!  My friend said everyone loved it, which made me happy, since I just knew something had magically happened to it during the car trip from Omaha to Lincoln.  :)
This cake was for my friend's son and features the print and cut feature of the Silhouette.

My husband's birthday cake.  He is a huge Phineas and Ferb fan :)

I don't see myself doing this much cake in one week anytime soon, but with some careful planning, a supportive family, and a "figure out plan B" attitude, I survived.  Maybe it was all the frosting I was eating throughout the process.  He, he, he.

Princess Birthday Cake {Omaha Birthday Cakes}

This was my first time using shimmer dust and my first time to do a stand up image.  I made the tiara last week (out of gum paste) so it had a long time to dry hard.  Isabella is a very girlie girl, so I hope she likes my interpretation of girlie girl (Her mom just told me a few things she liked and favorite colors and let me go from there!)

Today I finished cutting out designs for a wedding cake I am helping with.  I am not baking/frosting/stacking it.  I am just cutting the designs and covering the cakes in fondant.  It's a team work cake :)  I can't wait to post a picture.  Plus, a Toy Story cake for my friend Dawne and a Disney Princess cake for my friend Jenny in Lincoln.  What a cake week!

C's First Birthday {Bellevue, NE Birthday Cake}

I did not make the cupcakes, just the toppers and the banner. (Cupcake tower picture taken from C's mom's FB page)
